So I HAD to try this box fold!  Along with a daisy die cut...too cute!  Look at the close up picture...I stamped on the tissue paper so it coordinates!

Thinking of You

My challenge

As a crafter, sometimes I become creatively challenged.  I want to create but I draw a blank.  Last night was one of those nights.  So I decided to challenge myself.  I looked through some inspiration (pictures I've cut out of projects) and told myself to pick one that wasn't my first choice.  As I was making this card I thought, "this is NOT going to turn out well".  Well, I was wrong!  This card is so cute!  Take a look!

I used a stamp set I never thought I would, patterns I never thought to put together and some wonderful ribbon to give it that little extra!

I thought I would try some masking today and also use a color I haven't used before.  I started with Not Quite Navy, which I've never used before...love it!  Take a look:

Sour Cream?

When I think of sour cream, I think of the white, creamy dollop I put on my potatoes!  But, when I was asked if I ever made "sour creams" I had no idea that this is what they were talking about!  These are adorable, cute and perfect for party favors!

I'm all about Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  I had an old card box, not in the best of condition.  So I took some patterned paper, some chipboard and a flower and made it new again!  See what you think!

I'm back!

It's SO hard to get back in the swing of things!  Came back from vacation at the beginning of August and I thought I'd get right back on top of things (who was I kidding?)!  With one headed off to college and the other starting high school, marching band & school shopping I don't know where my time went to!  Oh well!  Here is a birthday card I made for my nephew:

Create a Christmas Card Monthly Class

I know it's hard to think about Christmas when it's mid-July!  Starting in August, I'm having a Christmas card class!  We will be making 10 cards, 2 of each design for 5 months.  That will give each participant 50 cards to mail out by the beginning of December!  Not too shabby!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that I love the United States of America and am proud to be a citizen.  Thank you to all the soldiers and military who commit to protecting me, my family and our country.  Also, thank you to the families of said soldiers.  You give up alot for our country and just know it doesn't go unnoticed.  Happy Independence Day!  May Freedom Ring!

Coaster!

This was my 1st time attempting anything other than a card or scrapbook page...I'm so proud!  The new designer series paper in the 2011-2012 IBC is contagious!  This coaster uses paper from the Paisley Petals collection.  Also used is the project is SU cork sheets, SU sticky sheets, SU window sheets, the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die!  What a great housewarming gift a set of these would make!

Birthday Card made with Pennant Parade Stamp Set... *NEW*

I honestly didn't think I would find many uses for this set but this card is so pretty!

I used the Pennant Parade stamp set, the new Petite Pennants builder Punch, the new in colors paper, and the Perfect  Polka Dots embossing folder!  Adorable!
